After the defeat of the Lord of Terror, in which Keiichi is injured while saving Skuld, the three Goddesses and Keiichi head back to the now destroyed Temple. Keiichi, now possessed by the Lord of Terror, takes Midgard’s flute and leaves Belldandy with the option of killing Keiichi or allowing the Earth to be destroyed. Furthermore the Valkyrie Lind descends with orders to kill the Lord of Terror (and Keiichi in the process).
